What Mycel does

Watch GitHub Actions and know the moment something changes, across your menu bar, taskbar, and Dynamic Island. When you need to know why, on-device AI has the answer.

On your Mac

The menu bar, expanded

No Dock icon, no window. The whole app lives in a menu-bar popover that turns red the instant a run fails.

  • Live run list across every repo
  • System tab: runners + Actions billing minutes
  • Self-hosted runner detection
  • On-device AI with Apple Foundation Models
  • One-click Ollama setup for local inference
  • Colour-coded mushroom icon, sandboxed & signed
In your pocket

The same view, on iOS

Repos and token sync through a shared Keychain, so the phone app just works, with no second setup.

  • Dynamic Island Live Activity while a build runs
  • Lock-screen accessory widget
  • On-device AI with Apple Foundation Models
  • Live run list with status badges
  • Status-change notifications on the go
Beta

iOS screenshots landing soon. Both betas are open now:

TestFlight, for Mac and iOS → Google Play, for Android →

Monitoring

See every run, the moment it moves

Live run list

Workflow runs across all your repos, polled continuously and compared snapshot-to-snapshot.

Refresh on open

Opening the popover triggers an immediate fetch, so what you see is always current.

Resilient polling

A dropped request doesn't kill the stream; it just retries on the next tick.

Status badges

Passed, running, failed, queued, cancelled. Colour-coded to match GitHub's own states.

Alerts

Only when something actually changes

Diff-only firing

Alerts trigger on state transitions, never on every poll. Two snapshots are compared; only the deltas notify.

Per-repo scope

Choose which repos can interrupt you. The rest stay quietly observed.

Cross-device

The same status change reaches your Mac and your phone.

Foundations

Built lean and private

No third-party SDKs

Foundation, SwiftUI, SwiftData, WidgetKit. Nothing phones home but GitHub.

Keychain-stored tokens

Credentials never touch disk in plaintext or any server of ours.

Fine-grained PAT friendly

Actions: Read-only is all it needs. Classic tokens with repo scope work too.

AI Analysis

When you need to know why

Ollama: one-click local

Mycel installs Ollama, pulls a capable model, and wires it up in one click, fully automated. Offline inference on your own hardware. No subscription, no per-query cost, no internet required.

Apple Foundation Models

On-device inference via Apple Intelligence on iOS and macOS. No API key, no network request. Analysis never leaves your device. Works offline by default.

Anthropic (BYO key)

Bring your own Anthropic API key for Claude-powered analysis. Stored in the Keychain alongside your GitHub token. Calls go directly from your device to Anthropic. Mycel's servers never see them.

Private by default

None of the AI backends route data through Mycel. Ollama and Apple Foundation Models never leave your machine; Anthropic calls go device-to-Anthropic only.

Try it for a week.

Free for 7 days. One repo stays free forever.
