Need a hand?
Mycel is built and supported by one person. Email gets a real reply, usually within a day or two.
Frequently asked
Which GitHub token does Mycel need?
A fine-grained personal access token with Actions: Read-only is enough. Classic tokens with the repo scope also work. Generate one under GitHub → Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens.
Where is my token stored?
In the Apple Keychain, in a shared access group so the Mac and iOS apps can both read it without you entering it twice. It's only ever sent to GitHub.
Why didn't I get a notification?
Mycel alerts only on status changes (e.g. running → failed), not on every poll. iOS and macOS also throttle background refresh; open the app to force an immediate pull. Make sure notifications are enabled for the repo and in System Settings.
How often does it poll?
On a recurring stream while the app is active, plus background refresh subject to the OS budget. Opening the popover always triggers an immediate refresh, so you never look at stale data.
A repo won't add. What's wrong?
Mycel validates the repo with a lightweight API call on save. If it fails, the repo name is wrong or the token lacks permission for it. Double-check owner/repo and the token's repository access.
How do I restore my purchase?
On the paywall, tap Restore Purchases. The lifetime purchase and active subscriptions restore from your Apple ID, including across Family Sharing.
Does Pro cover both apps?
Yes. One Pro entitlement unlocks the Mac app and the iOS companion together.
